Foxgard Kennels was owned and operated by Ken and Carolyn Gardner, in Rosedale, Indiana.  Foxgard Kennels started as a hobby in 1999 shortly after Ken retired, and ended in 2007.  We had just spent a few weeks caring for 2 female Wire Fox terriers for our daughter while she was out of town, and really enjoyed the experience.  Subsequently, she assisted us in finding some dogs of our own so that we could raise puppies of similar quality.  Pictured and described below are the members of our Kennel. 

Oakie is our newest addition.  His father is a champion and he has two points toward his championship.  His job is to hang out with the ladies every once in a while, and to try and stay out of trouble the rest of the time. 

 

Shasta is one of Libby's daughters.  She is a beautiful  Wire Fox Terrier.  She, like Libby, also loves to have her back scratched and get her cookies.  She enjoys spending time with us in the back yard.  My grandchildren are often an object of her affections.   

 

Lacey is another daughter of Libby. She LOVES to play with kids, any kids. If she's inside of a fence, she'll do her best to get over it to be with us. Then, of course, she demands her share of the back-scratching and looks for a cookie in our hands. She's very playful, and her favorite game is fetch. The squirrels in our back yard seem to enjoy teasing her, and she is not particularly fond of them invading her space.
